A-Tag Pavement Warning Markers
A-TAG plastic utility markers are brightly colored UV stable tags that mark underground utilities and ensure critical infrastructure is easy to locate. Commonly used by utility companies and municipalities, these markers help identify water, gas, electric, telecommunications, and sewer lines, reducing the risk of accidental damage during excavation or maintenance.
Embedded into concrete or asphalt and slightly recessed, they’re built to withstand wear, weather, and traffic – even snowplows won’t destroy them. A-TAG markers provide a long-lasting, low-maintenance way to keep crews and contractors informed while improving safety and compliance with utility marking standards.

Key Benefits of A-Tag Pavement Markers
Permanent Messaging
The warning message is molded right into the tag and cannot be removed. We even offer custom legends, so you can have your own label engraved.
Low Maintenance
Once installed, they require minimal upkeep, making them a cost-effective, long-term solution.
UV Stable
The A-TAG is UV stabilized and will not fade or become brittle, even after years of exposure in any temperature.
A Faster Locating Process
As your crews find the cable/pipeline, plastic utility markers can be installed in addition to paint. The next time you have to locate in that area, the locator will know right where to start, saving time and money.
Preventing Damage to Pipes and Cables
Permanent color coded markers embedded into the concrete or asphalt encourage people to call before digging in the area. This can help reduce the risk of accidental utility strikes, preventing costly service interruptions and repairs.

Patch Identification
A-TAGS can be installed in street and sidewalk patches permanently, identifying the company doing the work.
Identifying Buried Valves, Splices, and More
A-TAG markers are simply a sign that’s embedded in the concrete or asphalt. You can mark anything from a gas valve to a buried splice.
How to Install A-Tag Warning Markers
For a new construction project, simply press the A-TAG into the pavement while it’s still soft, making sure it sits flush or slightly recessed to protect it from snowplows and traffic.
For retrofit installations, we recommend using an SDS-Plus drill and retrofit drill bit to create a precise recess in hardened pavement. Ensure the hole is clean and sized correctly for a snug fit. Use the A-TAG adhesive to secure the marker in the drilled recess. A single bottle can often handle around 50 markers.
